Syrian with machetes wanted to give German military bloody lunch break
German authorities have succeeded in foiling a new terror attack by a radical Islamist.
A 27-year-old Syrian man had in fact bought two machetes and wanted to attack military personnel during their lunch break at an army base in the northern Bavarian town of Hof, according to police. So it fortunately did not come to that, as police caught the man before he could even take action.
Another man from Syria already stabbed three people to death during a city festival in Germany three weeks ago; eight people were also injured.
