Sensational Indiana Jones discovery in tourist destination

Archaeologists were not expecting this discovery since very many tombs in the historic city of Petra in Jordan are empty or damaged.

In the heart of the historic city of Petra in Jordan, archaeologists have found a tomb containing at least 12 skeletons and objects more than 2,000 years old. And that's an incredible discovery!

According to researchers, possibly the largest collection of human remains in Petra to date was found. The discovery occurred near Al Khazneh, one of the most famous buildings carved out of a rock face. In the two centuries that Petra has been explored by archaeologists, nothing like this has ever been found.

This is a world-famous site that attracts a lot of tourists every year. By the way, Al Khazneh was also featured in the movie Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

And by the way, what was inside the tomb is very well preserved, stressed Pearce Paul Creasman, CEO of the American Center of Research and head of the research team. The artifacts have been preserved “extremely well,” the skeletons are in slightly more delicate condition.

Further research should now clarify who the people were, what they ate, how they lived and when they lived in ancient times.
