Angry passengers lock baby in plane toilet
On August 24, an incident took place in the sky, on board a flight from Guiyang to Shanghai (China). Two passengers, exasperated by the cries of a one-year-old baby, decided to take action and lock the child in the plane's toilet.
The scene was filmed, the video went viral in China and is now attracting strong criticism. It shows one of the two women (the authors of the video), taking the little girl, barely 12 months old (according to local media) into the toilet and asking her to be quiet; otherwise she would not be able to leave the cabin. In the caption, the woman justified herself by writing that she had done this to help the other passengers regain their calm.
Two days after the incident, Juneyao Airlines stated in a statement that the little girl's grandmother had given her consent to the two women. She had agreed that they would take her to the toilet to "educate" her.
The debate is back in China
In China, spoiled children who cause trouble in public spaces are called "bear children", reports La Dépêche. This is a topic that is being debated in the country, and is becoming increasingly widespread. On some trains, for example, there are compartments that are off-limits to children.
