Putin desperate, Russia on the verge of meltdown

As North Korea has recently provided military support by sending troops to Russia, Vladimir Putin is now fearing the collapse of his country’s economy after more than two years of conflict in Ukraine.

Experts believe this call for help signals Russia’s weakness, as the country hopes to prevail in Ukraine despite the heavy losses in both human lives and equipment.

Alexander J. Motyl, a political science professor at Rutgers University in Newark, wrote in The Hill that an economic "meltdown" could occur as early as 2025.

He said: "As the Russian economy tanks, immiseration, and social discontent grow, and money dries up, Putin will run out of resources to fuel his war machine."

Since the war in Ukraine began, Russia has received support from Iran, which has been supplying drones to Moscow, and now from North Korea, which is sending soldiers directly to Russia, where they will undergo training.

According to South Korean and Ukrainian intelligence, North Korean soldiers are already present in the Donetsk region, while North Korean missiles are also being used on the battlefield.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, no fewer than 10,000 North Korean soldiers are currently training in Russia.
