Musk and Putin: their secret conversations
The Kremlin has denied that Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk have been in contact over the past two years.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, the CEO of Tesla and X and the Russian leader allegedly spoke on multiple occasions, as reported by American, European, and Russian officials.
The sources cited in the report suggested that the two men discussed a variety of topics, including current geopolitical tensions, business, and even some personal matters.
At the end of the week, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the article was false, clarifying that the two men had spoken only once, before 2022, the year of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Musk had previously mentioned a conversation with Vladimir Putin in a tweet shared in April 2021. However, the American media outlet insists that further discussions took place afterward.
Elon Musk has denied the Wall Street Journal’s claims, writing on X that the publication is “biased.”
