George Clooney gets his own back
Ocean’s Eleven, this “heist” film with a five-star cast (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Vincent Cassel), was a huge success when it was released in 2001.
It was the same success in 2004 with its sequel Ocean Twelve. What we don’t know is that behind the scenes, two actors almost had a fight. It was Matt Damon, one of the film’s leading stars, who revealed the consequences of a bad joke, 20 years later. During an interview, he confided that on the set of Ocean’s Twelve (in Italy), Brad Pitt had written “a letter to the film crew, pretending to be George Clooney. In it, he asked everyone to never say his first name, but rather to call him “Mr. Clooney” or “Mr. Ocean.” Besides that, he demanded that "no one look him in the eye,” reports Hitek.
For several days, the famous actor, the face of Nespresso, noticed that the film crews were particularly distant with him. When the truth was revealed, George Clooney was furious! Fortunately, revenge was sweet… No question of tarnishing his colleaugue's (Brad Pitt) reputation. Clooney preferred to attack his car. “In a way that was as funny as it was childish, George Clooney simply put a sticker on it that said ‘small p...s on board’.”
