Elephant has had enough and breaks leg of intrusive tourist (VIDEO)

A Russian tourist was on the back of elephant Gouri during her trip through India. When the elephant suddenly tired of it, it grabbed the woman with its trunk and threw her to the ground with a big swing. She broke her leg; a second person was injured.

The Indian branch of animal rights organization PETA shared the footage of this incident because it wants to discourage people en masse from taking such rides on the back of an elephant.

"These elephants are chained, intimidated, threatened with weapons and mistreated for years," said Poorva Joshipura, vice president at PETA. "And suddenly they attack out of fear and frustration." According to PETA, it is well known that Gouri can be dangerous, but continues to be used to entertain tourists at Amer Fort. "The authorities need to wake up, send her to a sanctuary and replace all elephants in the tourism industry with decorated electric cars."
