McDonald's forced to intervene due to bird flu

Australian authorities have identified bird flu type H7 in a dozen poultry farms in southeastern Australia. The outbreak is in the states of Victoria and New South Wales and in the region around the Australian capital, Canberra.

And that is causing supply problems for fast food chain McDonald's. Consequently, the chain is forced to adjust its breakfast hours in Australia. The supply problems are forcing McDonald's to take the last orders for breakfast at 10:30 a.m. instead of 12:00.

"We are managing egg supply with the utmost care due to the current difficulties in the industry," it sounds. "We are working hard with our suppliers to get the situation back to normal as soon as possible."
