Zelensky gets the good news he's been waiting for
In an interview with Ukrainian radio, Volodymyr Zelensky claims that his country has only received half of the weapons promised by the USA, but according to media reports, Joe Biden should deliver the military aid before he leaves the White House.
“There are several reports coming from different institutions, both from the Ministry of Defense and from the intelligence services, and so on. I would only say that we haven't received half of them. It seems to me that when we talk about who is helping, this is an important element. Europe hasn't helped any less. And that's an important element,” said Mr. Zelensky.
He adds that the United States has increased its arms production, the strength of its army and rebuilt its arsenals. Ukraine has helped them in this task.
“In many ways, they got answers from us. They have gained experience from the living example of another nation, and so have the Europeans,” emphasized the head of state.
The United States is one of Ukraine's main allies. Since the beginning of the massive invasion, Washington has provided the Ukrainian army with military assistance and training.
The Ukrainian armed forces have received armored vehicles, tanks, MLRS, long-range missiles, ammunition, air defense systems and other weapons from the USA.
According to media reports, Joe Biden's administration plans to transfer the remaining $6 billion in military aid to Ukraine before Joe Biden leaves the White House.
