US missiles strike Russian territory for the first time
Ukrainian defense forces have struck Russian territory with ATACMS ballistic missiles. The target was successfully hit, said an informed source in the defense forces.
According to the source, the strike targeted a military installation near the town of Karachev in the Bryansk region.
“Indeed, for the first time we used ATACMS to strike Russian territory. The strike was carried out against a facility in the Bryansk region, and it was successfully hit,” the source said.
Karachev is located near Bryansk, around 130 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The bombed military facility contained Russian aerial guided bombs, anti-aircraft missiles and ammunition for multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as artillery ammunition, including North Korean shells.
This is the first time that ATACMS have struck Russian territory, following the green light given by the Biden administration, as announced by various US media.
