The secret weapon unsheathed by Kiev
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on X for his country's Independence Day. Ukraine celebrated 33 years of independence and regained momentum in the war with Russia.
The Ukrainian president sought to give a numerical assessment:
"In two and a half years of a large-scale war, Russia has launched around 10,000 different types of missiles and more than 33,000 gliding bombs on Ukraine. To stop attacks on our cities, we must target the carriers of these weapons, that is, Russian aircraft stationed on military airfields."
"The first successful combat use of our new weapon, the Ukrainian long-range rocket-launching drone "Palianytsia", has taken place. It was designed in Ukraine to destroy the enemy's offensive potential."
"The production of rocket-launching drones will grow, as will that of our long-range attack drones, the effectiveness of which we see almost daily."
