North Korea sends more troops

North Korea has reportedly sent pilots trained to operate Russian fighter jets, according to the South Korean television channel TV Chosun.

While Pyongyang has already dispatched 1,500 troops to Russia, Moscow is seeking a greater commitment from its ally in the conflict. South Korea has revealed that North Korean pilots will also be taking to the skies alongside Russian pilots.

A South Korean government official has disclosed that North Korean pilots have arrived in Vladivostok, in the far east of Russia.

Meanwhile, Seoul has expressed its readiness to provide defensive military equipment as well as humanitarian aid to Kyiv. The Asian nation is also considering sending military intelligence personnel to the battlefield to monitor the movements of North Korean troops.

As for the number of personnel sent to Ukraine, estimates range from 1,500 to 10,000, but both Seoul and Kyiv have information indicating the presence of North Koreans in Ukraine.
