North Korea is ready to conquer Ukraine
Russia is reportedly preparing to send its first North Korean soldiers into combat in Ukraine starting October 27, as revealed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Speaking after a meeting with the senior command staff, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called this move a "blatant step toward escalation" that contradicts the Kremlin's narrative.
The president urged Western leaders to apply pressure on Pyongyang and Moscow to compel them to respect the United Nations Charter.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, North Korea has sent nearly 12,000 personnel to Russia, including 500 officers and three generals.
The first North Korean soldiers spotted on the battlefield were located in the Kursk region, which came under heavy assault in August by thousands of Ukrainian troops. Russian forces have since regained control over parts of the area.
This week, the United States also confirmed that North Korean troops had been sent to Russia for training.
