Morbid new record for Putin

Vladimir Putin could lose up to 40,000 soldiers in October, according to Estonian intelligence.

Janek Kesselmann, deputy commander of Estonia's military intelligence center, told local media outlet EER that Russian losses are “significant” and could reach record highs since the conflict began in February 2022.

Kyiv reported that Russia lost 1,630 troops on Friday, surpassing the previous record of 1,530 casualties reported on October 18, according to Ukrainian sources.

Kesselmann explained that Russian strategies have shifted, with troops avoiding entering populated areas due to the complex preparations this would require.

Meanwhile, the United States has stated it has evidence of North Korean troops in Russia, estimating that 3,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia for training before they are deployed to the Ukrainian front.

For his part, Vladimir Putin has neither confirmed nor denied the presence of North Korean troops on Russian soil.
